About Jari Liede

20+ years of experience in the financial sector in both expert and people leader roles - Competence areas: financial risk management, derivatives,"CFO agenda", mathematical modelling - Character strengths: curiosity, honesty, teamwork My goal in working-life has been and continues to be to understand the customer - whether the customer is a child as it often was when I was selling computers and games in the 1990s or a CxO of a multibillion company as in the more recent parts of my career. I am analytical and I like to think that I am good at applying knowledge and experience creatively as well as communicating complex issues understandably. However, in solving problems and providing solutions I have found even more valuable the aspect that I like listening to people - openly and humbly. As a people leader I aim to utilise these same character strengths and aspects, for example, honesty, fairness, curiosity and clear communication. I enjoy learning new things. Lately I’ve been very interested in AI and have familiarized myself with, for example, machine learning models. My interests include, among others, applied mathematics, data science, digitalization, financial markets and fintech as well as trail running and skateboarding.
