About Jarred Riel

Jarred Riel recently graduated from the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Human Rights and Human Development and Family Sciences. His academic and professional interests lie in understanding human rights violations from an international and domestic perspective and how to address them through policy and advocacy. Through his internship experiences, Jarred has become increasingly interested in health policy and health equity. He has gained valuable experience in this field through previous internships at the Office of Senator Chris Murphy and the HIV Medicine Association, where he researched policy issues, wrote correspondence, and prepared policy resource materials. Jarred seeks to further his professional development by gaining valuable career experience on the Hill.
