Hello! I'm Jarrett Koran, a passionate and motivated software engineer with a fresh perspective and a hunger for innovation. As a recent graduate with a degree in Software Engineering from California State University San Marcos, I am excited to embark on a rewarding career in the world of technology. During my academic journey, I had the privilege of delving deep into a wide range of programming languages, software development methodologies, and problem-solving techniques. My coursework not only equipped me with a strong foundation in computer science but also instilled in me the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous learning. One of my most memorable experiences was working as a Data Fellow Intern at the City of Carlsbad Innovation and Economic Development Department, where I had the opportunity to apply my knowledge to real-world challenges and effect the community in a positive way. This experience allowed me to sharpen my coding skills, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams such as public works, public safety and human resources, to deliver high-quality products. Outside of the world of code, I have a penchant for appreciating the craftsmanship that goes into producing fine, handcrafted beers. I enjoy tasting, deconstructing and ranking all kinds of craft brews. I have even had the amazing opportunity to meet and compete on a team with David Walker of Firestone Walker to mix the best blend for the 2021 Firestone Anniversary Ale.
