About Jarrod MacFarlane

As a kid I wanted to be a famous rapper, so I never thought I’d be spending my days helping founders build kickass tech startups… But here I am! ‍ Building new ideas into digital products is where my work becomes my play, and my current role at Appetiser Apps lets me create product strategies with passionate and hungry founders to bring their visions to life. Take that, kid Jarrod. My 2017 entré intro entrepreneurship saw me build and launch a spontaneous experience marketplace called Backyarda. It turned out to be more of a Backfire-a (didn’t talk to customers first ), but this failure ignited a fire in me to change the direction of my life. I knew I wanted to build, and I wanted to do it at scale After 6 years in marketing and media, I quit to pursue the vision, and now I get to leverage that experience to help founders find an audience for their products too. It’s one thing to build, it’s another to grow and get it in front of the right people. So if you have an idea and are willing to execute, holler at me.
