About Jarrod Michael

Personal: Born in the bush from parents who grew up as wheat & sheep farmers. As a child I spent our family weekends camping & fishing. Educated on the Sunshine Coast, I met my wife Kerri, and had two daughters. Always involved in sport, I now coach my girls in the Yeppoon Swans inaugural u16 all-girls side. Residing in Emu Park, my wife secured a midwifery position in Rockhampton Base Hospital & now has a private pre & post natal business. Professional: A unique working experience that spans over 26 years, initially in the Camping retail sector. This was supplemented with camping good Manufacture & Importing (Bushman Camper Trailers). Professionally mentored, trained, and self-educated in Small Business (Particularly Retail & Digital Marketing & leadership), and found a passion in the study of Science and Psychology of Shopping (Why & how we buy)- ethical & sustainable retail practices. Developed a successful youtube channel (The Camping Guru), which later became an Adventure Eco-Tourism Start-Up. Today, I’m in the development of a hi-tech start-up in Women’s Mental Health Prevention (business incubator) & am studying corporate & sport leadership consulting.
