About Jarryd Gray

An enthusiast in mobile technology and design; starting in 2010 I began my journey into the Digital Services Arena. My time with the self regulated body WASPA (Wireless Application Service Provider's Association of South Africa) gave valuable insight into the market, giving me the ability to begin to understand the industry and the expectations of a Member in the Mobile Industry.In January 2015 I started working for Basebone PTY Ltd (based in Cape Town, South Africa) and have progressively made headway learning different aspects of the business (from Account Management to Business Development to Marketing and finally to a newly formed department within the organization, Growth Hacking). Testing has always been my forte, and where it has evolved in the time that I have been in the industry (from keywords and shortcodes in newspapers, to the rise of the subscription service and its developments in web/wap/app) I have developed along with it.As a Senior UI/UX Researcher and Tester, I partake in in-depth research and rigorous testing of the various touchpoints of our offers and services with a main focus being on, but not limited to, the user experience. This is to ensure excellence and adherence to best practices, processes and flows to facilitate growth and drive retention.
