About Jasmeet Brar

The steam engine is rolling, gears are turning, converting coffee into code, and my mind sparks with joy! Okay, let's head back to reality. From the very beginning, my background has been in mathematics. Being overly obsessed with it, and always trying to continue to learn more and more in my spare time. After learning up till calculus, I've been wanting to apply my background to something that I would create, and after some time I found out the path that I wanted to take: computer science! Computers are fascinating creations, as they are essentially a real life application of a Turing Machine. That somehow the instructions we would write would get understood by the computer. I started off my journey learning Python, and JavaScript (Unity). And I pursued my studies further in understanding the process of software development, and the inner workings of a how a computer would understand our intent. Jump ahead 5 years from this, and I have graduated from University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I had ventured out and learned from many different topics in my field. The courses I picked were challenging, and I had learned a lot! I have expertise in both web programming and systems development. I am currently seeking for new opportunities to both apply my knowledge and experience, and learn new skills.
