Hi! I am Jasmen Ashley, Associate Psychotherapist at The Soho Center for Mental Health Counseling. As a passionate mental health counselor with over 10 years of demonstrated experience in Case Management, Counseling, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Criminal Justice, Homelessness, and facilitating groups. I’m dedicated to helping you look deeper into the root causes of your challenges rather than just addressing surface symptoms, believing that mental health requires an approach that offers initiatives at the level of individual behavior change and individual inner change, as well as shared systemic and cultural practices. I have founded Mind Maintenance 740 with a vision to provide comprehensive mental health management services for assigned clients including but not limited to; crisis intervention, advocacy, assistance in problem-solving, assessments, conflict resolution, entitlements, training on daily living skills, and referrals. My theoretical orientation in therapy is integrative and holistic in an effort to align therapeutic techniques that are empirically proven to be effective in the treatment of a specific issue to tackle or goal to attain. I have lengthy experience working with domestic violence survivors, substance abuse, PTSD, race-based traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety disorders. I received a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling at Mercy College and undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice at Monroe College with a minor in human services. My dedication and commitment to overall mind-body wellness for myself as well as for my clients have served as the catalyst to reform any stigma or notions associated with therapy.
