I have been with Rehm for 6 years and am responsible for innovative, growing markets: Medical Technology: I take care of special requirements such as the biocompatibility of adhesives and potting compounds as well as safe, traceable and automated production. My customers manufacture sophisticated medical products e. g. dialysis machines, pacemakers, hearing aids, cochlear implants, prostheses, catheters or MRI devices. Precise application and dispensing processes for medical devices -> Dispensing, conformal coating, potting, bonding. Thermal manufacturing processes -> Drying of potting compounds, adhesives, coatings or entire medical devices by IR/convection or UV light ->(Vacuum) reflow soldering processes in the SMD area (convection, condensation, contact heat) Fuel cells: My focus is on efficient drying and high-temperature processes as well as dispensing for bipolar/IC plates and membranes of SO and PEM cells. A sealing structure made of elastomers/silicones is applied to bipolar plates by screen printing or dispensing, which must then be dried and hardened safely afterwards. A solvent-based material is applied to the SO membrane e. g. by screen printing. The solvent is then evaporated using a dryer in accordance with DIN EN 1539 and each material layer will be sintered afterwards- Controlled environment - Repeatability/traceability - Direct, safe further processing thanks to integrated cooling section - Turnkey solutions for complete stacks with partners
