My journey in Human Resources has taken me through various sectors from private companies to public service where I’ve had the chance to help shape positive workplace cultures. It all began at NPL Construction Co, where I learned the importance of compliance while fostering an environment of respect and safety among employees. Currently at the City of Riverside as a Human Resources Specialist, I manage recruitment plans for over 100 new employees each year. This role has allowed me to dive deep into employee benefit programs and ensure smooth open enrollment processes. I take pride in making sure that every new hire feels welcomed and supported from day one. Before this role, I spent over four years at Ashley Furniture Industries as a Human Resources Generalist. There, I facilitated more than 50 training events on crucial topics like sexual harassment and emergency response plans for groups of over 30. It was rewarding to see how these sessions helped create a safer workplace for everyone involved. At NPL Construction Co, I streamlined the candidate search process by implementing a checklist system that reduced our filtering time by 20%.
