About Jasmine Aguiar

I am a determined and passionate professional dedicated to improving college access and success for students, particularly first-generation, low-income individuals. Having navigated the challenges of being a first-generation college student myself, I deeply understand the barriers many students face in today’s educational landscape. My mission is to advocate for and support initiatives that enhance the success rates of first-generation students, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to thrive. With a strong background in program development, project management, curriculum design, and educational initiatives, I have collaborated with Chicago Public Schools to improve student retention, reduce suspension rates, and boost academic performance and behavior. At the collegiate level, my experience includes working with TRiO Student Support Services, academic advising, and admissions. Currently, I serve as a College Counselor, guiding high school students through the transition process, including college applications, admissions, FAFSA, scholarships, and credit recovery. I am committed to leveraging my personal and professional experiences to create meaningful opportunities for students and contribute to organizations that champion educational equity and success
