About Jasmine B.

I completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Government and International Relations at Griffith University, and a Diploma in Practical Legal Training at Bond University in Queensland. On 16 February 2016, I was admitted to the legal profession of the Supreme Court of Queensland. I have also completed my honours in Government and International Relations in 2018 my dissertation focused on Human Rights and Terrorism. I began working in the legal industry in 2014 at Caxton Legal Centre a clinic run by Griffith University during my time at Caxton Legal Centre I practiced Family Law. During 2014 I also volunteered at Yalari a non-for-profit organisation offering secondary education scholarships at Australia’s leading boarding schools for Indigenous children in regional, rural and remote communities, my role was to write Policies such as Privacy Policy and Motor Vehicle Policy in order to protect students and their families. During my time at Bond University studying the Practical Legal Training in 2015 I completed my 75 day placement at Senior Legal where I was required to assist with Family Law, Criminal Law, Domestic Violence, Wills and Estates and Conveyancing, drafting letters and affidavits. I was also required to provide administrative support such as receptionist duties answering telephones, scheduling appointments and greeting clients. In 2016 I volunteered for Vehicle Exchange a company that was starting out and required legal advice in regards to policy writing. I have also worked with Priala Legal as a Solicitor predominantly working in Property Law, Property Development, Conveyancing, Commercial Transactions and Estate Planning. I have also previously worked as a Solicitor for McKays Solicitors/Aquila Law predominantly working in Property Law, Conveyancing, setting up companies and trusts for clients and Estate Planning. I am passionate about Commercial and Property Law, Conveyancing, Estate Planning, Family Law, Criminal Law and Domestic Violence, and I continually strive to learn so that I may provide the best professional service possible.
