Please do not send any Jasmine Rene' McCaskill is an award-winning film director emerging from Southaven, Mississippi by way of Memphis, Tennessee. In May 2021, the Memphis native graduated the Documentary Filmmaking program with honors at Spelman College as part of the inaugural cohort. For four years, Jasmine was mentored by award-winning filmmakers Ayoka Chenzira, Julie Dash, Anjanette Levert and more. Jasmine was the Director of Photography for 'From the Ashes'(2021), an original CLASSIC REMIX project with Alliance Theatre. And she made her directorial debut with the short documentary film 'A Homecoming I'll Remember'(2021), which became an Official Selection for Indie Memphis Film Festival, Oxford Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival and others. The film, which was her thesis at Spelman College, was nominated for Indie Memphis Film Festival 2021 Best Hometowner Documentary Short and awarded the Southern Documentary Fund Filmmaker Award at the 2022 Atlanta Film Festival, an ACADEMY AWARD® qualifying film festival. Award winners at the Atlanta Film Festival were selected from the lineup of 153+ works chosen from a record-breaking nearly submissions. Jasmine has a background of working in the Public Relations industry. For nearly three extraordinary years, she worked at KQ Communications, a Black woman-led PR firm. There, she climbed from an intern to a brilliant Assistant Account Executive managing the accounts of nationally recognized and award-winning clientele. In February 2022, Jasmine joined The Walt Disney Company as an Apprentice in the Disney General Entertainment Apprenticeship Program. The program is a highly selective and rigorous two-year, full-time rotational program intended to create a pipeline of next-generation creative executives. She spent more than half of her apprenticeship at Disney Branded TV with the Content, Education, & Inclusion Team and is currently concluding the program at Hulu with their Original Documentaries & Unscripted Series team. Jasmine resides in Los Angeles, California pursuing a full-time career in the entertainment industry. Aside from her professional journey, Jasmine is found most joyous with her beloved family and Sorority sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, vacationing at breathtaking Florida beaches, and binging her comfort show "Girlfriends."
