About Jasmine Riley

My passion for videography is driven by my love for helping people capture special moments and preserve them through compelling storytelling films. As the daughter of a photographer, I was introduced to camera work early on. Growing up, my father would take me along to his photoshoots, where I gained hands-on experience assisting with equipment, setting up backgrounds, and lighting. As I've gotten older, I've had the opportunity to be his videography assistant, allowing me to develop both creative and technical skills. Through this exposure, I've worked on a variety of events, such as weddings and birthday parties, expanding my knowledge of videography, editing, and client relations. These experiences have allowed me to adapt and refine my skills to deliver high-quality video content that tells a story and captures the essence of each moment. Additionally, I’ve applied these skills in my academic projects, creating educational content and documenting extracurricular activities. This has allowed me to experiment with different styles beyond event videography. From informative, fact-driven video essays in my core classes to informal, comedic edits for after-school activities. These projects have expanded my versatility and deepened my understanding of the many ways video can communicate a message. Videography isn’t just something I’m passionate about; it's a valuable skill set that can serve a wide range of industries. Strong video content is essential for any organization looking to tell its story, engage its audience, and build a brand identity. I’m excited to bring my skills into the business world and continue growing as a videographer. Currently, I’m seeking internship or part-time opportunities where I can further develop my craft and gain valuable experience in a professional environment.
