About Jasmine Smith

When I was in fourth grade my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I said, ‘A cashier and a Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? contestant.’ I know that sounds like a bit of an odd dream, but I’ve always wanted to help people and learn new things in whatever path I chose. Now, I didn’t become a cashier or contestant, but I did choose a service-focused path that would allow me to stay curious and make people smile. I earned a B.S. in Journalism, Strategic Communication from Ohio University and over the years, have provided administrative support and marketing communications support for agencies, national magazines and entrepreneurs. This has allowed me to help others and learn new things every day. Most recently, I worked as an account manager at a marketing communications agency where I built relationships with clients and colleagues and coordinated 100+ projects and programs. Over 3 years, I cultivated service-focused skills that help me thrive in fast-paced environments while tackling projects with enthusiasm, curiosity and compelling communication. Through my work, I’ve contributed to high client satisfaction scores, created hundreds of written materials, led community outreach efforts, acted as a brand spokesperson at events and earned commendations for my positive attitude, strong work ethic and organizational skills. After taking time off in 2020 to serve as my mom’s caregiver until her passing, I’m now ready and eager to go back to work in a service-focused role. I’m hoping to join a team who’s just as passionate about helping others and will allow me to use my skills and experience to help make the world a better place.
