About Jasmine Wang

I work in the theatre and film community as an arts administrator with skills in box office, front of house, event management and more! Since moving to Toronto in June 2013, I have been actively involved in the theatre and film community. I have over 10 years of festival experiences, box office and front of house management and currently looking to gain more film programming and production experience. I worked with over 15 ticketing systems and I work for many festivals across Canada such as VIFF, TIFF and Hot Docs. I had volunteered with WIFT-T, CFC and The Academy. I was part of the Selection committee for 2015 WIFT-T Showcase and part of the Production Assistant team for WIFT-T Crystal Award for 5 years. I was part of the 2019 TAAFI Film Programming Committee and help program the shorts for TAAFI 2021. Besides blogging and actively promoting theatre, film and events on social media, I am a backer of projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo (includes Veronica Mars movie, Dog Eat Dog, Sophie and 2016 Arts Club production of Onegin) FUN FACTS: You can find me in the Veronica Mars Movie special feature, By The Fans documentary. My interview didn't make it in but you see me in it during SDCC portions. I attended live studio taping of Big Brother Canada Season 3-Season 5. You may or may not notice me in the background in the live eviction and Side Show tapings. You can also see me in the background of the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards when Orphan Black won Best Dramatic Series, 2016 Canadian Screen Awards (behind Christopher Plummer) and 2017 Canadian Screen Awards (briefly beside Christopher Plummer). I was a background extra for 2015 CFC's short dramatic film, Chameleon.
