Background
About Jasmine Winters
I am a passionate advocate for reproductive justice, mental health awareness, and community empowerment, working to dismantle systemic barriers and create inclusive spaces for healing. As a Patient Advocate for the Cherry Hill Women’s Centers, I serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking abortion care. I provide compassionate support while addressing challenges such as restrictive laws, lack of insurance, high costs, and stigma that often delay access to essential care. In addition, I am the Coordinator for Thrive NJ Coalition, a statewide network of over 80 organizations and 170+ individuals working to advance reproductive health, rights, and justice through advocacy and policy change. My role focuses on coalition-building and strategic initiatives to protect and expand access to care. I also serve as a coalition member of Coalition of Change for NJ, advocating for increased visibility and support for BIPOC families across the state. Beyond advocacy, I am the Founder of Protect Your Peace CBD, a minority-woman-owned business promoting mental health awareness, particularly in Black communities, where mental health disparities remain a critical issue. Most recently, I launched Peaceful Minds Haven (PMH), a nonprofit dedicated to mental and maternal health through education, advocacy, and community support. At PMH, we provide resources, workshops, and safe spaces to help individuals navigate their mental wellness journeys. Our goal is to break the stigma surrounding mental health and holistic care, ensuring BIPOC families receive the support they deserve. I am committed to building a future where reproductive and mental health care are accessible, stigma-free, and equitable. Let’s connect and collaborate!
