I began my Tax career in International Corporate Tax at ConocoPhillips, where I was responsible for US returns for a variety of Controlled Foreign Corporations which are subsidiaries of ConocoPhillips, including analysis for and preparation of IRS Forms 5471, 8858, and others. I also maintained US Income Tax provisioning analysis for R&D as well as several foreign subsidiaries, and prepared analysis for R&D adjustments made to the consolidated US 1120 tax return. Following that role, I transitioned into public accounting. After gaining some professional experience in public accounting, I accepted the Tax Manager role at Michael J. Nyikos, CPA, where I managed the tax function of the firm. In late 2018, I began my role as Corporate Tax Manager at Navico, where I was tasked with bringing the tax function in-house for the first time. My role at Navico grew significantly over a few years and expanded into coordinating the global tax strategy, and finally leading the US tax function's integration with Brunswick following the company's sale in 2021. In March of 2022, I began my role as Tax Manager at Markforged! I'm very excited to develop a sophisticated tax strategy at Markforged alongside Big 4 advisors. In addition to leading the strategic tax planning function, I'm currently managing our initial Transfer Pricing analysis and reporting, our initial R&D Credit study, leading sales tax system integration, coordinating analysis of multiple tax considerations related to global M&A activity, and implementing and managing the ASC 740 quarterly tax provision process as well as coordinating all other aspects of annual income tax compliance. I'm also a former member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard, where I was a battalion Intelligence Section Chief in the HHC 45th BSTB in Norman, OK.
