About Jason Beck

After Graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Tech, I took my skills to Navistar. At Navistar I developed my testing and development skills. Working to develop tools and test plans to search for improved fuel economy on Heavy Trucks. In 2014 I was looking for an opportunity to move back to my native Minnesota. I was fortunate enough to land a job at Emerson. From 2019 to 2021, I was working as the North America World Area Product Manger for Emerson's Rosemount Temperature Portfolio. My responsibilities included: Take a lead role in transnational market pricing, insuring the World Area discounting authority is updated and appropriate. I Own the World Area Demand Plan for temperature products and inputs for world area fiscal goal process. I launched new products in North America and ensure sales channel readiness to sell temperature products. I am the Primary point of contact and subject matter expert for world area sales channel, customer care, and operations for Temperature products and technology. I Identified training needs, tools, and other resources required for North America sales to achieve temperature product line growth. Starting in the Summer of 2021 I transitioned to Sleep Number as a Program manager. In that time I have expanded my skillset and have begun to work across and manage full enterprise product development programs. Guide and Lead the enterprise wide development and delivery of Sleep Number Applications, managed the on time delivery of 5 key programs to drive growth in the business Delivered a key program to drive $150 million in business. Communicating Effectively with the product teams supporting the development, validation, launch and ongoing maintenance of the sleep number bed electrical and firmware platforms. Develop and manage the interdependencies of the application and embedded system platform - driving the development pipeline of major programs including feature advancements and end of life support for all of Sleep Number's smart products. Manage the cross-functional timelines to ensure projects are on track and on budget to deliver against the requirements - ensuring the company can continue to deliver continued growth. Instills trust and collaborates across the org to more effectively influence and coordinate with other teams, As a nimble learner has become the go to person to take on and manage complex programs that do not have a clear or defined path to completion.
