About Jason Bennett

I'm a multi-passionate professional with a diverse background spanning business, audio engineering, aviation, and live performance. After earning my BBA from Mount Royal University in 2017, I followed my passion for music, completing a diploma in Audio Engineering. This led to an internship and shortly after, a full-time audio engineering role at The Beach Advanced Audio Productions, launching my career in post-production sound. Since 2018, I’ve built a freelance portfolio that includes audio work for films and TV series featured on platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix. In 2020, I joined the Calgary Fiddlers Association as the Technical Director, a role that has taken me around the world mixing FOH sound and allowed me to stay close to music. Driven by a long-standing passion for aviation, I re-joined WestJet in 2023 to gain deeper industry insight while simultaneously training for my pilot's license. I earned my PPL in October 2024 and am now pursuing my CPL. As of February 2025, I’ve also taken on the role of Safety Investigator at WestJet—combining technical expertise with my commitment to safety and continuous learning. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in the skies, I thrive on challenge, adaptability, and pushing boundaries. I’m always exploring new opportunities to grow, collaborate, and make meaningful contributions to my community. 🥁
