About Jason Busch

For 20 years, I worked as a reporter and editor for publications ranging from a small-town daily newspaper to a regional business journal to a global trade publication for first responders, and during that time I also worked in communications for a statewide banking trade association and at the state capitol as a legislative aide. I’ve always enjoyed writing and telling people’s stories, and over two decades I told just about every story I could imagine. At the halfway point of my career, I've changed course to take on a fund development role with a mission-focused nonprofit where I know my work is going to have meaning beyond a monthly P&L statement. My background gives me a unique perspective on communications, marketing, and public and media relations from every angle, and I use that to my advantage. While deep down I remain a fearless writer and thorough editor, I'm enjoying this season of my career in which I'm learning new skills to do some genuine good within my community.
