About Jason Chaisson

I have been in the industry 14 years from oil and gas to refining and chemical plants. My background started in the oil and gas fabrication shops where I learned various types of welding on different metals as well as pipe fitting and pipe modifications. After acquiring enough time and experience I then took my career into the refineries and chemical plants as a pipe welder/fitter working maintenance jobs such as piping repairs, modifications, and replacements as well as valve and pump swap outs. During my time working maintenance at Dow Chemical I took opportunities to serve as a field coordinator on in house outages as well as small and major turnarounds. I also used my field knowledge and experience to effectively plan and coordinate turnarounds, which I continued for 4 years. I have been in my current role for 3.5 years with Shell serving as the mechanical discipline planner for multiple offshore assets planning corrective maintenance on valves, piping, and pumps including pump replacements and overhauls.
