About Jason Chorowski

I am board certified psychiatrist whose residency training at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center included chronic cases in a long-term treatment setting. This allowed for the honing of skills such as medication management and therapeutic modalities. I have treated a wide variety of patients ranging from mild depression and anxiety to those that are actively suicidal or psychotically agitated. I have experience with medication assisted treatments in substance use. I have honed my decision making on when treatment over objection or a higher level of care is needed for patients. I have worked with patients whose family involvement required some form of family therapy or intervention. I have supervised a wide array of students, including medical, PA or NP. I have supervised psychiatry residents and nurse practitioners. This includes providing clinical experiences during rounds and medical knowledge during lectures.
