About Jason Chow

A public sector employee with considerable experience in waste management operations. My thorough understanding of provincial and federal legislations such as Waste Diversion Act, Transportation of Dangerous Goods & Resource Recovery and Circular Economy Act have allowed me to understand the what, why, and how for all waste streams that are divertible from landfills. With the knowledge in the regulations comes with exposure in the Extended Producer Responsibility framework where I'm able to tackle on both administrative and operational fronts of blue-box recycling and household hazardous waste creating a further understanding of products that are reaching end of use.Over the years, I have developed my portfolio dealing with every divertible material in the City which include blue box recycling, scrap metal, ceramics, drywall, corrugated cardboard, source separated organics, tires, and household hazardous waste. I have been involved in every step of the way for each divertible material starting from curbside collection that's been generated by single/multi families all the way to the processor where private contractors are responsible during the end of product life-cycle.
