About Jason Chun

Jason was born in Riverside, CA but moved around Korea and Northern California during his childhood until landing in Salinas, California, where he was raised for 14 years. After graduating CSU Monterey Bay with a BA in Cinematic Arts, he left the wedding and event videography to pursue a career in the film and television industry in Los Angeles. He spent 5 years as a technician in camera rentals consulting and prepping camera packages for Oscar winning cinematographers and the top camera crews in the industry. A half decade of technical experience led him to join clients as he starts off his journey as a Digital Utility along with 1st and 2nd camera assisting for non-union projects.He is a strong believer in interpersonal skills, comfortable in fast paced/high pressure environments, and has a passion in camera technology and troubleshooting. He hopes to add value in productions and seeing them succeed as a team by contributing to efficient workflows, increase camera department speed, and adding fun and positivity to the morale of the set.
