About Jason Clancy

I am a first-class honors business graduate from the Institute of Technology Sligo, specializing in Finance & Investment. Throughout my studies, I developed a strong foundation in Corporate Finance, Business Strategy, Investment Portfolio Analysis, and Applied Finance. My final-year dissertation explored the motivational factors driving Irish entrepreneurs to start their own business. Since January 2021, I have been working with the HSE, gaining valuable experience in healthcare administration. I began as a Clerical Officer in a busy surgical ward at Sligo University Hospital, where I managed clerical operations and collaborated with a multidisciplinary team. In November 2022, I transitioned to my current role as an Assistant Staff Officer in the Colposcopy Department at SUH. My primary responsibilities include compiling monthly reports for CervicalCheck to ensure the unit meets its clinical KPIs, as well as managing the scheduling and booking of appointments. Beyond my professional and academic background, I am passionate about staying active. As an amateur boxer, I have achieved multiple titles, including the an All-Ireland Senior Title.
