About Jason Curry

As a Fire Captain and Training Officer, I’ve spent the past two decades leading teams through high-stakes emergency situations while ensuring that our department remains ready and resilient. My passion for safety and service extends beyond the fire hall—I’ve also instructed and delivered election campaign political training to fire departments across Canada and the US, helping leaders advocate for their teams. My dedication to the fire service includes developing a charitable organization to support firefighters and creating a peer support team to address critical mental health issues in our ranks. I also served as the Director of Government Relations, advocating for public safety policies at all levels of government, and as Vice President for 5 years. As a delegate in the Governor General’s Leadership Conference, I’ve represented the fire service and public safety at the highest levels. Now, as I complete my Master of Disaster and Emergency Management, I am ready to apply my comprehensive experience in emergency response, leadership, and advocacy to the private sector, particularly in business continuity and crisis management roles. My experience leading in unpredictable and high-pressure environments has prepared me to ensure businesses remain resilient, operational, and ready for whatever challenges come their way.
