Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! I'm a former physics teacher with a strong commitment to promoting mental health in the education system. My journey has been diverse, and I'm excited to share it with you. ‍ Teaching is my first love. I've had the privilege of inspiring young minds in the field of physics, fostering a deep appreciation for science and critical thinking. Alongside this, I've been dedicated to creating a supportive and mentally healthy environment for students, recognizing the crucial role it plays in their overall development. My academic journey led me to earn a Bachelor's degree in Geosciences. This foundation broadened my understanding of the Earth's processes and honed my analytical skills, which I've found invaluable in both teaching and my current pursuits. Currently, I'm in training to become an OPITO Instructor, specializing in competencies such as PADI and HUET diving. Safety and well-being are paramount in all aspects of life, and I'm committed to sharing my knowledge to ensure the safety of individuals working in challenging environments. When I'm not in the classroom or in the pool, you can find me pursuing my hobbies as a photo/videographer and fisherman. Capturing moments, fishes and telling stories through the lens has always been a creative and relaxing outlet for me. I also have a passion for cooking, which is not just about preparing meals, but also a form of artistic expression. Like photography, cooking allows me to experiment, innovate, and share delightful experiences with others. Communication is at the heart of everything I do. Whether it's explaining complex scientific concepts to students, ensuring safety protocols are understood, or crafting visual stories through photography and videography, effective communication is key. I also have a deep understanding of pedagogy and andragogy, which enables me to tailor my teaching methods to different age groups and learning styles. My background in applied physics adds a unique perspective to my teaching and safety instruction. It allows me to bridge theory and practice, making learning more engaging and relevant.
