I am a descendant of the Gunditjamara and Ngarrindjeri mobs from SW Victoria and SE South Australia. With a deep appreciation of learning about my culture, I have explored the wonder of bush foods, both medicinal and as a food source. The fauna, flora and botanicals of this amazing continent are full of health and well-being for all of us to appreciate. As an executive chef, I cooked up a storm across four continents before returning home to Australia to launch FigJam and Co Catering. My indigenous heritage and passion to create unique dining experiences has led to the introduction of Australian native bush foods on corporate catering menus. More recently, FigJam and Co has manufactured a range of gourmet condiments containing nutrient-rich superfoods as the ‘secret sauce’ and more than 90% Australian ingredients.
