About Jason Decker

I am very grateful to be moving from my rewarding career in IT to an even more rewarding career in clinical mental health counseling. I am a counseling graduate student at Wake Forest University. I focus on establishing relationships with people to accomplish mental health and wellness goals so they can live their best lives. I am excited to be counseling adolescents and adults in my 2023 practicum and internship placements. I help my clients realize their goals through the use of appropriate diagnosis, assessments, and a variety of evidenced-based treatment interventions. I strive to embody the American Mental Health Counselors Association’s ideal of “combining traditional psychotherapy with a practical, problem-solving approach that creates a dynamic and efficient path for change.”
