About Jason Decruz

I am a UX/UI Designer with Graphic Design experience and have designed for large companies such as Microsoft, PepsiCo, and Gatorade. I'm now creating engaging and helpful digital experiences for users. I want to discover, test, and design prototypes for products that improve well-being through education, psychology, medicine, or science. As a UX designer, I am resourceful and proactive in discovering new, more efficient ways of going about unique problems. Recently, I worked with a math tutor who had an issue with her students rescheduling to times that interrupted her other student appointments. She initially asked for another Google Calendar tailored to her needs, but I made a much simpler, cheaper app that works with her chosen calendar app via plugin in three weeks. This saves her from learning a new system and saves me from doing unnecessary work to solve that problem. The result was a high-fidelity prototype that is being used in pitch decks to pique investor interest. As a graphic designer, I have over a year of agency experience in all the areas of visual communication practice, such as strategic thinking, branding, interaction design, rapid prototyping, website development, storyboarding, campaigns, and packaging. Executing thoughtful, engaging, and meaningful work is my everlasting goal. As a Graphic Designer in Seattle, I worked with many large clients such as Amazon, Microsoft, Gatorade, PepsiCo, Ross Department Stores, and many more. I am currently looking for work in the Seattle area as a UX Designer & Researcher.
