About Jason Devaladares

I am a Information Technology Systems Analyst with 26 years of experience troubleshooting systems, automating workflows, and managing helpdesk ticket queues. My greatest strength is a motivation to out-perform the norm and I have a talent for researching and finding solutions to technology problems. I am passionate about learning everything technology related and I value equality in the way people are treated in relation to their societal or business inputs. I spent 11 years as a System Administrator at TeleTech, where I learned to balance some technology magic with excellent customer service skills, both face-to-face and digitally. I was responsible for daily IT helpdesk tasks to internal technology users as well as remote users. I also enjoyed some analytic work reviewing logs and and automating various other tasks. In addition to my technical skills, I also managed inventory control and tracking, as well as configuring and maintaining the badge access security system. I was in charge of the helpdesk ticketing system that required updates and closures for customer issues. I have used visual basic scripting and batch scripting as well as PowerShell, Python and other scripting languages to automate tasks. I have also programmed simple tools using Visual Basic and C++, and created and maintained Active Directory/Quest user and group accounts, as well as on-prem and Azure based Microsoft Exchange configurations. I'm currently working as an Information Systems Analyst at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, where I'm putting my vast experience and skills to work. Moving from analyzing systems and troubleshooting complex problems, to now providing support as a Cyber Security analyst, monitoring systems and helping to provide support in constructing playbooks and define risks. Before my current gig, I owned and operated two small businesses, Orillia Fishing and Computer Kick, where I sold fishing equipment and kicked computers (not literally, of course) back into a functional position for small business in my community. I took a years break between jobs and decided to explore a fishing passion as a Fishing Sales Associate at Trombly's Tackle Box, where I did my best to hook customers and reel them in. Despite all my experience, I'm still learning new skills every day. I'm passionate about using my powers for good and helping others with their tech troubles.
