About Jason Devoy

I have been in the Security Industry for 30 years, specializing in Corporate Security. I have held a Certified Protection Officer (CPO) designation from the International Foundation of Protection Officers (IFPO) since 1994. Currently I am working as an Asset Protection Guard at an open pit mine at Detour Lake in Ontario. Specializing in investigations of all types, CCTV review, taking statements and interviewing people, access control, upholding the site regulations, including traffic infractions from parking to speeding. During my time as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), I assisted and supported people with intellectual disabilities in their home in a group as well as an independent setting. I promoted and championed for independence and assisted with the daily living activities. I assisted with meetings with the meetings with Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) to get passport and housing funding for the people supported. I also planned and executed vacation plans with the use of passport funding to ensure that the person supported had an exceptional time on their vacation. I ensured that their finances were in order and assisted with budgeting of their funds. I am currently working on my Developmental Services Certificate through LOYALIST College, which will be completed in August 2022
