About Jason Drown

With over 30-years of experience in providing engineering-level occupational health and safety services for various military installations and private industry, I am currently the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for the D.S. Brown Company, a subsidiary of Gibraltar Industries My mission is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, customers, and stakeholders, while complying with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and standards.As an EHS Director & Manager, I have overseen multiple locations across 19 states with business operations in over 40, covering a diverse portfolio of industrial workplaces, such as warehousing, logistics, transportation, oil and gas, civil engineering, and medical facilities. I have extensive knowledge and proficiency in environmental protection programs, such as RCRA, Hazardous Materials Management, Hazardous Waste Management, Air Emissions, Storm Water Management, Wastewater, and Water Quality. I also conduct and oversee routine workplace assessments, monitor potential hazards, evaluate workplace and management level EHS programs, review and approve permits, and train workers on various EHS topics. In addition, I am a certified Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt, a certified BLS and First Aid Instructor, and a veteran leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I have contributed to numerous working groups and committees and provided numerous briefings to all levels of staff, new hires to C-suite, on EHS compliance, radiation safety, and emergency management. I am passionate about enhancing the EHS culture and performance of New Horizons and its subsidiaries and empowering the workers to achieve their goals and objectives.
