I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social & Behavioral Health, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), School of Public Health. I teach and conduct research to eliminate health disparities experienced by minorities. My funded research aims to better understand Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other health challenges in sexual and gender minorities or LGBTQIA+ populations and their care partners. I am currently funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging R24AG066599, R01AG083177). I am also funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and the Alzheimer’s Association.
