Hello and thanks for reading my profile! Patience and listening are traits of a good leader, its too bad I have tinitus and am always in a hurry! But in all seriousness, wow do I love to talk and make people laugh while running between two work stations. I just realized the other day, grumpy engineer with 27 years of experience could very well be me. You cannot change something that has already happened, but you can choose how to react and the path forward. Solve the problem first, you can point fingers later after the dust has settled. And most importantly,"Attitude is everything!", said Richard Llewelyn to me one day. With that said a positive attitude and high energy define my daily routine. Discipline and wisdom come to mind as areas of improvement. Working for myself has been the most rewarding but also most humbling experience of my life. Thank you Ratnadewi for pushing me and giving me both the courage but also the stability to start JGSE. Without you I would not be where I am today. I will work smart and with discipline in your honor. And if any of my ex-bosses are reading this, just know you were right! I have had the fortunate opportunity to be mentored by some of the most talented engineers in our field. And after working from some of the best firms out there, I truly believe I have been able to capture both the work flow and habits from each of them and apply to my own firm. I could carry on about my breadth of knowledge of various engineering applications, but ultimately it's about using the right application in the least time possible. I had a boss ask me,"Do you want a raise? I replied,"Well of course I do." He said,"Then always strive to completing your task faster than the last time and gain efficiency. And then you can get a raise." I never forgot those words and have made this a theme in how I approach design engineering. Just because an application can do all the extra bells and whistles, does not mean you need it. Use the application in the simplest and fastest way possible, this is how you make profit. Sometimes just a simple excel spreadsheet can do the task with ease. Right Saurin? I am a late bloomer and am finally coming into my own. So looking forward to what impacts my unique skillset and life experiences can bring to those around me. Listen first and communicate effectively. If you are talking you are not learning. Listen to your clients, listen to your peers, you will learn something.
