About Jason Hon

My name is Jason Hon, and my career journey has been shaped by my mastery of communication and quick thinking. These skills have not only earned me trust but also propelled me to higher responsibilities in every role I've undertaken. I am a dependable individual who completes tasks and anticipates future needs. My formative years in the Midwest instilled in me the values of patience, tolerance, and a can-do attitude. I completed my high school education at Moline High School in 2008. Soon after, I pursued creative writing and acting at a community college before venturing to Hollywood, CA, where I graduated from the Los Angeles Film School in 2012. After graduating, I used my editing skills for Kevin Smith's podcast network, became an editor for my local News Channel 8 TV station (after moving back to the Midwest), and produced my own content, such as podcasts and the comedic gaming YouTube channel Honzy and Friends. The channel and podcasts I host have yielded over views and raised money for charity. My greatest joy comes from enjoying comedy and playing video games with my wife, son, and friends. I have a profound appreciation for compelling storytelling, which has ignited my love for anime and manga. The art of creating characters and narratives has also been instrumental in my journey as an improv comedian, a hobby that brings me and my audiences immense delight. Having started my career as a gaming journalist with Screen Rant in 2021, I am thrilled to see my dream of becoming a game reviewer and writing about the series I adore come to fruition. Now that I've achieved this milestone, I am eager to push myself to new heights, create more engaging content, and, hopefully, contribute to making life a little more enjoyable for others.
