About Jason Key

Chef Jason Key first discovered a desire for cooking at the young age of 15, starting out as a dishwasher at a local Frederick Restaurant sparked a curiosity that launched a desire for a career in Culinary Arts. A graduate of La Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Like most talented Chefs the passion manifest itself early on. Having grown up in Frederick County, Maryland gave Chef Jason the opportunity to hone his skills around French cuisine. Which has now become elements that would shape his signature dishes and professional career. In his quest to advance his culinary skills Chef Jason took the opportunity to train under a four star chef at Vail Colorado’s Game Creek Club where he learned techniques and how to develop flavour profiles. Upon returning to Frederick County Chef Jason expanded his career and culinary knowledge by working at fine dining restaurants such as Black Truffle Bistro at Hollow Creek Golf Club and the opening of Volt Restaurant in Fredrick, Maryland. Chef Jason advanced his career by working as a catering chef for the last several years before moving to corporate dining. Today, Chef Jason is making his mark on Frederick county by preparing simple yet tasteful dishes for all type of palate. Chef Jason took second place in the “Evening on the Rivera” culinary competition as well as recognition from the Frederick Area Bridal Network for outstanding Event Catering customer service.
