The few, the proud, the Data Geeks. Hi, I am Jason, and I am addicted to *most things* data! First, let me say I fully believe in the characteristics of integrity, stewardship, passion, and humility within my professional and personal development. Everyday, these qualities are important to a career where so much emphasis and care are required when I am handing business and personal data. This faith-based ideal is a cornerstone to everything I commit and accomplish on the job and in life. Having served in the Business Intelligence (BI) community since 2004, I have become a resolute Advocate & Mentor in the analytics and data development space through progressive experiences with various challenges, successes, and education. Moreover, I continue to be an unwavering proponent of the ideology that data assets are second only to human capital economically. In February 2017, Gartner published a prediction that by 2022 business valuations would include valuing data assets as informational portfolios along with other assets like property and patents I believe we have seen this play out, as well as improvements in web development, social media presence, Cloud-based offerings (SaaS, IaaS, etc.), and the emergence of GPT's. From my own perspective, some Analytics teams have also begun to directly own database assets and technologies, especially with Cloud-based offerings.
