About Jason Lemonier

I love the work. I bring tons of enthusiasm, passion, and pragmatism to the workplace. Prioritization is a critical part of a project and team's success. In order to prioritize, I strive to know the "why"​ to understand the value and impact completely of each task and project. Studying the "why"​ routinely enables or forces me to find time-saving solutions overlooked or deemed too expensive. I enjoy helping my whole team know "why"​. When there are tight deadlines, they know why that deadline is approaching, and they are prepared to dig deep. When deadlines are not looming, I enjoy helping everyone enjoy a nice work/life balance. I enjoy coaching, mentoring, extreme programming, and iterating as a team instead of coding away and relying on code reviews. I have a knack for knowing what is simple & easy to build, configure, maintain, and change vs. abstract visions of "how something should be done" with limited foresight into the predictable reality those choices can create. I have an example of an instinctive decision I made in that another developer made differently. 7 years later I got to see the net result of these 2 decisions that cost roughly hours of pain for the wrong decision over the years not to mention the crippling inability to make changes easily. No developer should work alone for too long. The more clever they are, the more this is true. It is more fun to work together actively anyway and the benefits of clarity and focus are hard to refute.
