About Jason Major

Starting work at the age of 13 I began to understand the value of Efficiency, Effectiveness, and the pursuit of excellence in Customer Quality and Service. In my grandfather's welding shop there was a sign above the door that stated "Close Enough Usually Isn't". That resonates today as the world focuses evermore on reducing the impact of poor quality. I am Six Sigma Green and Black Belt certified, trained in Lean Tool Awareness from Ohio State University, and Lean Product Development from Michigan University. I am able to see opportunities in product and process development and to lead others in delivering those improvements. As a Leader in Technical Productivity $21M in savings was identified/delivered and as a Black Belt over $42M in savings was booked. Through these efforts my growth supported career advancement to Site Quality Leader focused on reducing Customer Defects (20PPM to 3PPM in 2 years) and Plant Scrap (3% to 1.4% in 2.5 years). My problem solving skills alone didn't achieve these results, it took my abilities to lead, inspire, and engage others to realize the results above. Coaching, Problem Solving, and Customer Focus are what drives me while ensuring that people learn and grow along the way. This is what makes people better, business better, and the world better.
