Dr. Jason McCarthy has been a physician, educator, and innovator of health system design for 20 years, and is Lead Medical Consultant for Innovation for Eastern Health. He is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland & Labrador, is the Clinical Chief of Rehabilitation, Geriatrics and Palliative Care for Eastern Health, and is the co-founder and co-director of the Rehabilitation Research Unit of Newfoundland & Labrador. Dr. McCarthy is currently involved in mapping care pathways, starting with stroke, using an inter-professional design approach with engineering, computer science and data science. He is committed to transforming the experience of patients using the principles of value-based care.
