About Jason McGettrick

I am a hardworking, ambitious college student with a strong desire to succeed. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class at Plymouth North High School, and I am currently a Junior at Stonehill College. My fascination with technology compelled me to be a Computer Science major here at Stonehill, where I’ve begun to develop skills in languages such as Python, Java, HTML, and CSS. I have a determined will to make an impact on the world in some beneficial way, and I will hope to eventually use whatever technical skills I gain throughout my education and career to help those in need. Aside from academics, I also take place in multiple clubs on campus, such as Best Buddies, the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Student Alumni Association. I also competed as a part of the NCAA Division I Stonehill Cross Country and Track and Field program my freshman year. I have established myself as a leader multiple times throughout my life, not only as a captain of my high school cross country and track teams, but also as a driven student in school. I pride myself most of all on my work ethic, which I apply to both my academic, athletic, and extracurricular career. In terms of employment, I recently began a summer internship at General Dynamics Mission Systems, working as a software engineer. I'm extremely excited to see what this opportunity brings as I learn from the best in the industry!
