About Jason Oconnor

Hello There! First and foremost, I love writing code. Ever since the day I wrote my first Python program, I have been obsessed with the process of using both the Python and Java programming languages to solve problems and come up with new solutions to them. Software Development is a never-ending journey of learning and understanding that I am deligted to be involved in. Working with these languages is so open-ended and allows for experimenting which in turn leads to the constant learning that I love so much about these programming languages. My love for writing code was the main reason behind my choosing of the course I am undertaking at Technological University Dublin in Tallght. I am currently enrolled on a QQI Level 8 Computing with Software Development course that teaches a broad range of topics, such as Python, Databases, and HTML with Cascading Style Sheets. I am studying in this area as I have a genuine passion for problem solving and working within groups of interesting and unique people such as working in a scrum work environment. My hope by the end of this course is that I will have the qualifications to pursue a career in a multitude of areas within the IT sector thanks to the broad range of topics taught to us. My specialties include quickly learning new skills and working with programming languages, problem solving, and statistical analysis. At this point in my career, I have worked with Java, HTML, CSS, and Python and have them under my belt. I have recently started learning about Git and gaining a better understanding of it. Even outside work and college environments, I am still looking for new programming languages to learn so that I may include them into my work.
