About Jason Olsen

I love design. For me, it is more than a job – it is a way of seeing and thinking about the world that permeates everything I do. How can design drive positive change? How do you create environments that enrich people's lives? These are questions which fuel my curiosity and creative approach. Nothing motivates me more than engaging with clients, communities, and colleagues – fostering environments for thoughtful, inclusive, and open dialogue – to realize design solutions that will propel organizations to places they did not think possible. For over twenty years, I have partnered with a diverse set of clients on a broad range of highly sophisticated building types from embassies to libraries, courthouses, labs and beyond. Through these amazing relationships, I have gained insight into what drives successful organizations and environments. Cross pollinating ideas and innovations from many different domains has been invaluable in helping clients realize bold new visions for their unique projects. As a teacher, invited design critic and mentor, I am an enthusiastic advocate for the next generation of designers. Continually inspired and energized by their passion, I find learning from their new and fresh perspective incredibly rewarding.
