About Jason Overbee

I am 38 years old and have over 20 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services. My career began with Octapharma Plasma, where I served as a Physician Substitute and received cross-training in various areas. I then advanced my EMS career at Rapid Response EMS, enhancing my skills as an EMT. Subsequently, I joined HART EMS as a Lead EMT, where I gained significant experience. My passion for fire services led me to work part-time as a Firefighter EMT with Romulus Fire, after which I became a full-time EMT-Firefighter at Inkster Fire. During this period, I was also enrolled in Paramedic School while taking on a part-time role as an ER Tech at Garden City Hospital. Following family commitments, I resigned from Inkster and returned to Rapid Response EMS, where I was promoted to the position of Detroit Supervisor. In August 2024, AmeriPro EMS acquired Rapid Response, and I successfully interviewed for and was appointed as a Shift Captain. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at home with my children and family, engaging in various projects, and enjoying the experience of being a dad. I am currently completing my bachelor's degree in Fire and Emergency Management at Purdue Global University.
