About Jason Pearson

Currently I work for Perseus Learning Center as their Chief Technical Officer. In the 3 years I have been working their I have worn many titles. I have been the Office Manager, Executive Assistant, did staff Schedules, worked on creating and implementing polices and procedures. Created training for staff member and handbooks. Created and maintained KPI's for staff members and presented them at Leadership Meetings each week. Worked closely with leadership in to design and implement forms, handouts, databases, and reports. I've worked as a technician filling in when a staff member called out or was sick. And even took care of transportation for clients. Before that I worked for Journal Technologies, Inc, a subsidiary of the Daily Journal, in Los Angeles, California which supplies case management software to courts, prosecutors, public defenders, probation and other justice agencies. I was in charge of the entire training and development department, responsible for creating training materials, user and configuration guides, and other documentation for users, employees, administrators, etc. Also responsible for classroom and onsite training for employees and clients. Previously, I worked for New Horizons Computer Learning Center of Southern California at Anaheim. There I taught 8-hour classes, Monday thru Friday, for nearly 12 years. During that time I was one of the highest ranked instructors based on student evaluations. I was one of the only instructors to teach almost every application class offered and personally created several of them. I started my Microsoft Office certifications with Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOS) back in 2003, and followed up with Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) in 2007. I have tried to continually keep up-to-date. At the beginning of 2009, I began the rigorous task of completing CompTIA CTT+(Certied Technical Trainer) exams which consist of both written and video evaluated teaching sessions. I was responsible for training in-house students, clients at their sites, and instructors on new material. Several classes were customized, and many were created with training materials, solely by myself. I also design websites for smaller businesses, using XHTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Flash, and PHP. I design basic 5-30 page portfolio/web presence style sites. A list of currently operational sites can be provided. Most of the businesses also use me to create and maintain their social media presence working with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+.
