About Jason Pike
I spent the first 10 years of my career working in biochemistry and molecular biology laboratories. In 2010, I earned my PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine under Dr. Robert Bambara researching Okazaki Fragment processing. From there, I moved to the Indiana University Molecular Genetics Diagnostic Laboratory as a technologist running clinical tests for genetic diseases on patient samples. In 2014, I earned an MS degree in Biostatistics at the Indiana University Fairbanks School of Public Health and returned to the University of Rochester as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. From October of 2014 through August 2022, I worked as an Analytics Consultant at Excellus Blue Cross/Blue Shield where I performed statistical analysis of health insurance claims data to help our provider groups lower health care costs while improving quality of care. I then moved to my current position as an Energy Data Scientist at DNV.
