I started in retail pharmacy while in high school at the age of 16. I attended CV-TECH for the last 2 years of high school to master carpentry. After graduating high school with a regents diploma and graduating from CV-TECH, I became an apprentice with a local finished carpenter as a full time job during the day and continued my career in pharmacy retail in the afternoons and weekends. I continued doing this for a few years all the while being promoted to a shift supervisor at Eckerd. I finished carpentry when I was offered an assistant manager position at Eckerd. While being an assistant I excelled quickly and was put on special tasks to go around the district and fix up other stores. From these special assignments, I was singled out and chosen to run the companies highest volume store in the North East (outside of NYC) in Burlington Vermont. I was the youngest manager to ever run that particular store at the age of 23. I inherited that store with one of the highest shrinks on record and by the time i left it, I was able to reduce shrink by 89% and increase front end volume by 22%. Throughout this time, my commute was an hour and a half each way. In 2013 my first son was born. Between my son being born and the one and a half hour drive time, I decided to accept a more local position as store manager in Plattsburgh NY when it opened up. Since then, I have excelled in my position, one of my 2 sons is now in school and I'm excited to advance my career.
