About Jason Richardson

I teach a group of high school students a full-range college-prep curriculum while taking several annual international field trips. I am also the mayor of my adopted home town, Rigby. Over the academic years 2015-2017, I was contracted to instruct privately and lead extended educational trips to areas of class study. Trips include various 1-week to 1-month excursions. Trips range from government studies in Washington DC and Boise to history studies in Egypt and the UK to cultural studies from Israel to Thailand. I accepted the same position again in August 2020. I lead tours around the world for community members that desire to travel. Mexico, Thailand, and Britain are the most popular, but I have also taken groups to France, Ecuador, Italy, Egypt and other countries. Large groups, private groups, young and old: I can make a tour or a vacation that takes away the stress of planning for people who want to see the world. I have worked both in public and private education since 1997. I have helped to form private schools and charter schools. I have taught in a variety of schools under varying philosophies. I have especially enjoyed the years with my small private groups. Teaching at the Rigby public school in my home town was also very enjoyable. I have been serving as the Mayor of the city of Rigby, Idaho since 2014. I also served on Rigby's Planning and Zoning Commission from 2011 through 2013 where I studied local ordinances to assure that development and proposed changes fall within the plans that are in place. Specialties: Mentoring students to excite them about education and becoming contributing citizens.
